Two workshops, one for anyone interested in learning meditation and the other for mothers and daughters interested in learning Reiki, will be held at Reiki by Rickie, The ReikiSpace & Learning Place, this month.

The meditation workshop that takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., August 10, is an opportunity for beginners and seasoned meditators to learn and share different approaches to the inner journey of meditation. Facilitator Elizabeth Crowe-Joong, Ph.D., and lifelong meditator, will provide 16 participants with a general historical and cultural understanding of this spiritual practice. Light refreshments are included in the $80 class fee; however, participants are advised to bring a bagged lunch, cozy pillow and shawl.

The second workshop, offered 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., August 25, is a new and unique Reiki I class designed for mothers and teenage or young adult daughters to take together. Both will learn self-healing tools and how to share Reiki with each other, which can be a very loving and bonding experience.
