Yoga Teacher Training Begins in October

Om My Yoga Academy, a 200-hour Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School founded by Rachel Wilson, owner of Om My Yoga studio, in Camp Hill, is offering a six-month teacher training session, beginning October 11 to 13. Sessions are offered in three-day segments once a month through March 2014.

Wilson has more than 10 years of yoga teaching experience and four years of expertise in training and mentoring teachers in this program. Her down-to-earth, therapeutic, all-levels approach to teaching is inspirational to everyone that studies with her. The stimulating curriculum includes daily yoga classes and the study of postures, anatomy, subtle energy, the chakra system, yoga history, philosophy and restorative yoga.

Some take yoga teacher training so they can guide others in the practice of yoga; others take it to deepen their own understanding of yogic philosophy, using the experience as a way to reach deeper levels of awareness, purpose and peace. A recent graduate says, “Since taking the academy, I feel more grounded, positive and self-assured. I am a stronger person, more confident inside and out.”
