World-traveling monks from the Drepung Gomang Monastery, in India, will visit Harrisburg from April 28 to May 4 during their Sacred Arts Tour, with the combined goal of raising funds to support the monastery and to promote Tibetan culture.

Some of the planned during the monks’ visit include a potluck welcome dinner on April 28 at The Mohler Senior Center, in Hershey; Meditation and Mani Stone class at 6 p.m., April 29, at Alta View Wellness Center; a sand mandala construction from Tuesday through Friday at the HHA Building, in Midtown Harrisburg; a meal with the monks and labyrinth walk at the Mateers Home, May 1, in Middletown; a social reception with the monks in ReikiSpace & Learning Place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., May 2; and a cultural pageant in the Penbrook auditorium  at 1 p.m., May 3.

Reiki by Rickie ~ ReikiSpace & Learning Place, in Harrisburg, will host an all-day Community ReikiShare Fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., March 23. Everyone is invited to receive a Reiki mini-session, with one of several ReikiSpace healers in exchange for a love donation. She says, “Our goal is to provide a gift of $5,000 from the Harrisburg community to the monks of the Drepung Gomang monastery.”
