Monthly Meditation Intensive at Just Plain Yoga

Just Plain Yoga hosts an open meditation from 8 p.m. to midnight the last Friday of each month at their studio in Camp Hill; the next session is May 30. The only extended meditation sit available in the Central Pennsylvania area invites those interested to join the group for 10 minutes or four hours or any amount of time that suits them.

There is no instruction during this evening of non-sectarian, non-denominational practice. The group will sit from the top of the hour for 50 minutes, and then walk in silent practice for 10 minutes. The last hour is for seated meditation only. All meditators of any lineage and tradition or no tradition at all are welcome and may use any meditative technique they like, as long as they remain silent for the duration of their stay. Those new to meditation are asked to contact Just Plain Yoga prior to the monthly session.

“Patanjali tells us, ‘When practice is done for a long time without a break and with sincere devotion, then the practice becomes a firmly-rooted, stable and solid foundation,’” says owner Ron Blouch.
