Celebrate the Fourth of July at Shoppe American Made

Shoppe American Made (SAM), a specialty retail store in Dover, will host a July 4 celebration, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with free food samples and in-store specials. Proceeds for the day’s event will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization that supports and helps wounded soldiers and their families.

Founded by Barb Schrum in October 2011, the store was created for shoppers that prefer to proudly purchase American-made items with the convenience of seeing, touching and trying them on for size. SAM features products from 70 local crafters and vendors and more than 20 U.S. manufacturers. Bestsellers include local honey, assorted nut butters, locally made dog treats, goat’s milk soaps and lotions, jeans and work boots. SAM’s Kitchen offers a menu of soups, salads and meals made fresh daily.

Location: 55 W. Canal St., Dover (across from Dover High School). For more information, call Barb Schrum at 717-308-7142 or visit ShoppeAmericanMade.com.
