Eating right and exercise are paths to health that many people know they should follow. For Wesley Ash, that message has become a lifestyle he can’t wait to share with others. As a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker in Camp Hill, Ash helps clients find healthy homes. “I thought I always took pretty good care of myself, but I didn’t know how much more I could be doing,” he says.

Ash believes his experience transitioning to a healthy lifestyle can help his real estate clients find homes with good air quality, clean water and the peace that comes with a place of their own. “A house that provides safety and shelter is just one part of having a livable residence,” says Ash. “Residents also should have confidence that their new homes are free of mold and mildew, provide ideal spaces for sleep and exercise, and make them feel comfortable and relaxed.” He believes he can help his clients fulfill their healthy home goals because he’s taken his own journey to a healthier lifestyle.

Ash’s wife, Sheri, got him hooked on the daily routines of eating well and working out. For 30 years, she sought out natural remedies for aliments and incorporated Reiki training for its healing benefits. Wesley was spending a lot of time working in a diner he owned in New Cumberland as he watched his wife benefit from her lifestyle changes. The couple’s daughter, suffering from asthma that often led to bronchitis and pneumonia as a child, also inspired the family to seek ways to improve their health.

In 2005, the Ash family purchased a Vitamix juicer and started using it about once a week to incorporate healthy shakes into the family’s diet. Soon enough, they were hooked. “After some time, you get used to making shakes for your meals and it becomes a habit,” says Wesley. “I don’t have to worry anymore about what I’ll have for dinner.”

After obtaining his real estate license, Wesley found his family wasn’t the only one hoping to get healthier. Many of the people he’s met through the business have shared their own experiences in moving toward a more holistic lifestyle. He also uses the help of a home inspector that tests home air and water quality to ensure families are moving into a safe environment.

“It’s great to be able to connect with people who also want to live a holistic lifestyle,” says Wesley. “It’s nice to know we can move toward that goal together.”

Ash can be reached through the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage at 4075 Market St., in Camp Hill, by calling 717-422-0309 or 717-763-7500 or visiting WesleyAshHomes.com.
