Dr. Christine Curran, owner of Cornerstone Chiropractic, in Dillsburg, was exposed to chiropractic care at a young age. “My grandfather used chiropractic for over 70 years. In high school, I had my own personal chiropractic healing story when acid reflux and headaches resolved with chiropractic adjustments,” she recalls.

“It wasn’t until I got to chiropractic school that I realized that chiropractic was much more than pain management—it’s lifestyle health management,” she explains. “It’s about helping the body to heal itself to the best potential, every hour of every day.”

When Curran became a chiropractor, she decided she wanted to share the complete chiropractic story with her patients, that she calls practice members. “Every day, we live our lives through our nervous system. It determines who we are and how we interpret life,” she says. “Chiropractic adjustments remove subluxations, which are disturbances in the nervous system, so we can live a more fulfilling life. While I see plenty of people dealing with pain, most of my members don’t have any pain, but they do want to ensure maximum life potential. When you regularly clear out the nervous system, you’re better able to handle what is presently happening in your life. You’re not dealing with stresses from your past and able to focus on healing in the present.”

Curran utilizes the Koren Specific Technique (KST) in her practice. “It’s a very gentle, light touch approach,” assures Curran, who notes that every session is unique to each member on any given day. “We incorporate the physical, emotional and chemical side into an adjustment. Through biofeedback, we assess ‘What is the priority for this person today?’ We also use doTERRA essential oils if the body indicates that it needs it,” she says.

This family-friendly chiropractor focuses on well-being and regularly sees children of all ages. “I’ve adjusted a lot of toy trucks and stuffed animals over the years,” she says. “Recently, one little guy brought in his stuffed bunny. He told me, ‘This is Captain Jumps-A-Lot, and he needs to be adjusted, too.’” Naturally, the Captain received his first adjustment that day.

Curran has mindfully created an office that makes her members feel welcome. “My team is amazing. We really take the time to listen and create a joyful, uplifting environment in which people can relax.” She also feels that her members contribute to the positive atmosphere. “They are wonderful people, and I truly appreciate that they choose to share their lives with me. I just love seeing the light go on in people’s minds when they realize how their bodies can heal on their own.”
