Learn to Appreciate Meals Mindfully
May 30, 2016 05:22PM
Fern Wilson, a Natural Gourmet Institute graduate and certified health coach, will present a Mindful Eating Workshop from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., June 7, at Bee Present Wellness. Mindfulness eating involves paying attention to the sensations of the food as we are eating it, our reasons for eating and how we feel before, during and after eating. Slowing down more than usual to chew and pausing to smell in-between bites are some of the techniques that will be discussed.
The delicious menu is composed of creamy asparagus soup, a vegan caesar salad with tempeh croutons and small almond pancakes with fresh berries combo and cashew cream and fresh mint ice tea with raspberry coulis.
Participants receive a take-home menu with recipes, learn the nutritional value of the ingredients and how to create delicious and healthy morsels, enjoy a great meal and learn about mindfulness and nutrition rituals.
Cost is $31.74 before Jun. 4; $36.87 after. Location: 309 3rd St., New Cumberland. For tickets, visit Eventbrite.com/e/mindful-eating-tickets-25398045237. For more information, call 717-724-7727, email [email protected] 0r visit BeePresentWellness.com.
