Kudos - Rachel Benbow

Rachel Benbow Presentation, Seattle, WA

Rachel Benbow, a local massage therapist and CranioSacral therapist, was chosen to present her national award-winning case report, Effect of Massage Therapy on the Proprioceptive System of the Autistic Child, at the Seattle International Massage Therapy Research Conference in May.

Benbow is passionate about conducting research with medical professionals to verify the efficacy of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) therapies for conditions such as autism, ADHD and trauma recovery for military veterans and survivors of abuse. Surgeries and pharmaceuticals often come with unwelcome or dangerous side effects, but Benbow believes that massage and CAM therapies are proven safe, gentle, non-invasive treatment alternatives.
