Kombucha On Tap at The Healthy Grocer

The Healthy Grocer, in partnership with Mobtown Fermentation, is now serving two flavors of fresh kombucha on tap, bringing customers a new food experience. Offering the area's largest assortment of natural foods, The Healthy Grocer has also expanded its bottled kombucha section.

The locally brewed kombucha, part of a growing fermented foods and drinks trend in the U.S., is made in small batches each week. A fermented drink, kombucha is made from sugar and oolong, green, black or white tea; a symbiotic culture of yeast and bacteria protects kombucha from bad bacteria, similar to the functioning of our own microbiome.

Owner William Roche says, “This bubbly beverage is packed with B vitamins, antioxidants, vitamin C, enzymes, amino acids, polyphenols and probiotics. Whether people turn to kombucha for its detoxifying, energizing and immune supportive properties, its unique taste is sure to keep you coming back for more.”

The Healthy Grocer maintains a commitment to building partnerships with local and regional small businesses. One of the slogans found throughout the store is, "Buy Fresh, Buy Local."
