Learn Tai Chi at Studio Solomon

Dan Grossberg teaches student

Thirty-year veteran Dan Grossberg now teaches tai chi classes at Studio Solomon, in Lemoyne. He teaches yang style long form taijiquan, with attention to a balance between principles and forms, repetition and improvisation, and individual and group practice.

“This is a natural fit for our studio because it allows us to offer a martial art that is a low-impact alternative to the other high-impact martial art style that is our specialty,” says studio owner Leigh Wisotzkey. “Martial arts are a great fitness option, and a different style enables us to bring that to more people with different goals and abilities.”

Taijiquan is a martial art, exercise and moving meditation practice. Movements and exercises are all done standing or walking and are appropriate for all levels of mobility; it can also be done more gently for less athletic people or those with limited mobility.

Studio Solomon now has a full-body activity to complement the martial art and fitness option that appeals to those that are more mature and prefer a workout that is more low-key with great health and wellness benefits, or very active people that want something to balance their high-impact exercise routine.
