Holiday Health Hacks, presented by Dr. Cynthia West and Dr. Lynn Panattoni, is coming to Turnpaugh Health and Wellness Center, in Mechanicsburg, from 7 to 8 p.m., November 8, with ways to keep energized and healthy during the upcoming holiday season. The practice also is now offering hyperbaric oxygen therapy, which is beneficial for a variety of issues.

Dr. Cynthia West, M.D., a board-certified nephrologist, has joined the staff. She says, “Looking at the body as a whole and as systems that affect each other offers patients a better opportunity to treat and reverse disease.”

West has discovered that the functional medicine philosophy of identifying and treating the underlying cause of a condition rather than just treating symptoms of disease is her goal. She feels that patients need to receive information and education about how to help themselves become active in their own health care, and that her extensive experience working with chronic disease puts her in an ideal position to implement the functional approach.
