Aromatherapy Enhances Meditation and Yoga

Jan 30, 2018 05:03PM ● By Jen and Jeff Frey

Aromatic essential oils can enhance the experience of a daily mediation or yoga practice. Applying one or two drops topically, or adding three or four drops to diffusing jewelry or a diffuser and placing the diffuser within the space, supports the mind, body and spirit to become grounded and centered in preparation for moving and flowing through poses during yoga practice and reaching a state of calm while meditating.

Lavender, cedar, sandalwood, cinnamon, frankincense, black pepper and patchouli are essential oils that steady the mind and support approaching yoga, meditation practice and life with calming strength and self-connection. Bergamot, coriander, marjoram, peppermint, jasmine and rose essential oils contain aromatic properties that encourage alignment, centering and self-trust.  Grapefruit, lemon, osmanthus, melissa and Siberian fir support stability and feelings of joyful positivity.

doTERRA created a Yoga Collection of three essential oil blends––Anchor, Align and Arise––that combines these oils to support an effective yoga and meditation practice while promoting feelings of courage, clarity and calmness.
