Last Faerie Festival at Spoutwood

The 27th annual and final May Day Fairie Festival at this location will be held from noon to 6 p.m., May 4, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., May 5 and 6, at Spoutwood Farm. The metamorphosis-themed event features live music, dancing, bubbles, magicians, fairies, goblins and juried craft vendors.

The Fairie Welcome Center will direct participants to the maypole dancing, parades, drum circles, fairie and gnome village tours, a treasure hunt, tea parties, puppets, storytellers, the Fairie Maze, the Dark Fairie Embassy, an outreach area with live animals, the meditation labyrinth and nature paths. Musical performers include CuDubh, Tuatha Dea, This Way to the Egress and festival favorite Frenchy and the Punk. The Hampton Inn in Shrewsbury serves as the hub of Faerie gatherings for breakfasts and evening activities.

Volunteers are encouraged to sign up now; no experience is needed. Those that complete a two-hour volunteer shift will be refunded that day’s admission.
