Natural Awakenings South Central Pennsylvania

Herbs are More Popular than Ever

The 20th annual Pennsylvania Herb and Garden Festival will take place on April 13 and 14 at the York Expo Center. Over the past 20 years, the interest in gardening, growing and using herbs for culinary, health, well-being and natural beauty remedies has grown significantly. Food production among home gardeners in the U.S. is at the highest level in more than a decade.

This year, the Festival is presenting a fully landscaped property designed and constructed by Earthbound Artisan, LLC, including all native plants, trees, shrubs and a water feature to attract birds and butterflies to the garden.

Admission is $7 per day, children 12 and under are free and parking is free. Location: 334 Carlisle Ave., York. For times and more information, visit PennsylvaniaHerbFestival.com.
