Natural Awakenings South Central Pennsylvania

It’s Lavender Season at Hope Hill

Troy and Wendy Jochems, who own and operate Hope Hill Lavender Farm, a veteran-owned, PA-preferred and Homegrown by Heroes farm, will be hosting their annual Lavender Plant Sale on May 12. The farm is located in southern Schuylkill County, centrally located to Harrisburg, the Lehigh Valley, Philadelphia and the Poconos.

Hope Hill's high-quality lavender products are produced from essential oil distilled on the farm. They carry lavender essential oil and lavender water, for which the distillation process can be observed on the farm during lavender season. Bath and body products are produced from the essential oil.

They also harvest lavender for culinary purposes. Their fields are maintained chemical-free and the fields are planted, pruned and harvested by hand. Lavender plants that are for sale are propagated from plants grown on the farm.

The farm store creates a unique shopping experience for visitors. Their lavender farm is always making new additions every year in plant cultivars, unique items and things to see. The certified kitchen and fields can be toured on Saturdays during the summer.
