A Weekend of Buddhist Tradition

Blue Lotus Buddhist Temple of Pennsylvania will conduct a Loving Kindness retreat in South Central Pennsylvania from 6 p.m., July 20, through 3 p.m., July 22, at the Amethyst Retreat Center. It provides participants with peace of mind and the opportunity to attend a spiritual retreat locally and affordably.

Board member Susan Kiskis says, “Enjoy a weekend retreat led by Buddhist monk Bhante Somananda and Dhamma friends with yoga, meditation, nurturing food, a labyrinth walk, Dhamma talks, Buddha puja, and more.” There is time for private practice, walking around the 100-acre Amethyst Retreat Center and optional bodywork. Gluten-free and vegan meals, beverages and snacks are provided.

There will be a panel discussion, What does faith look like in the Buddhist tradition?, a Healing Foods cooking class, Breathwork workshop with Cindy Beers and Buddha Puja with Bhante Soma.
