For those that would like to try reiki at no cost, a reiki share is being offered by Hanover Hospital from 7 to 9 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month at St. Mark Lutheran Church. Participants may drop in or stay for the entire two hours. No appointment is necessary. Each sample will last 10 to 15 minutes. Individuals can make an appointment for a full hour of reiki therapy with Eric Stenman, BCC, through Hanover Hospital Chaplaincy Services.

Reiki claims to be neither religion nor science, but it claims to draw on the energy all around us and within every individual to support other forms of healing. Reiki is generally administered through gentle hand placement. One can receive reiki either lying down or seated in a chair.
