Natural Awakenings South Central Pennsylvania

Finally a VegFest of Our Own

York’s inaugural Harvest Vegfest will take place to celebrate community, health, compassion, and sustainability from noon to 7 p.m., September 22, with a family-friendly film screened from 7:30 to 9 p.m., at Coulser Park. There will be plant-based food, vendors, kids’ activities, live entertainment, cooking demonstrations, a pie-eating contest, free yoga and much more.

Director Adrienne Williams says, “Harvest Vegfest is being organized by the Animal Advocates of South Central PA, whose mission is to spread compassion for animals in a peaceful and respectful way. Vegfests have been popping up all around the world, and it is time to bring the fun to York!

“We are thrilled to be putting on this event for the community and hope to inspire kindness to all creatures, large and small, as well as bring awareness of the health and environmental impacts of a plant-based diet. Sustainability and environmental consciousness is extremely important to us. Therefore, we have decided to make this event zero waste.”

Location: 1060 Church Rd., York. For more information, call 717-887-4906, email [email protected] or visit YorkVegFest.com.
