Learn to Read Sanskrit at Just Plain Yoga

Erik Marerro, E-RYT-500, will conduct an Introduction to Sanskrit in a yogic model of education from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 18 and 19 at Just Plain Yoga. This is the only Sanskrit language training available in the area. It’s a great opportunity for teachers of any subject to enhance their learning and teaching skills, with continuing education units for current yoga teachers.

Sanskrit is the language of yoga, and the workshop provides a model of a yogic teaching methodology that can be applied to any classroom. Anyone can resonate with Sanskrit's timeless sounds and connect to words and ideas that are incredibly beautiful and profound. Rewards are many for those that take the time to see, hear and feel the power and elegance of Sanskrit. Those interested in yoga philosophy will particularly benefit from this study.

Students receive the tools needed to explore sutras and chants in Devanagari, the beautiful script of Sanskrit. The American Sanskrit Institute teaching method, developed over many years, makes learning Sanskrit stress-free and fun.

Cost is $300 or $250 before May 3. Location: 1200 Market St., Lemoyne. To register, call 717-975-9642, email [email protected] or visit JustPlainYoga.com.
