Ascension Holistics will host a celebration of the natural rhythm of nature and the wheel of the year for Wicca from 1 to 4 p.m., March 20. Owner Jessica M. Miller says, "Be part of this magical event honoring the time of rebirth, renewal and fertility. Ostara celebrates the spring equinox. Enjoy a seasonal-themed ceremony, food, drink and crafty creations you can take home with you!"

 

All ages are welcome to celebrate. Ostara-themed food and drinks and crafts will be available and included in the price of the ceremony. Attendees will have make and take crafts to bring the magic home including faerie houses, Ostara egg charms and more.

 

The word Ostara comes from the Anglo-Saxon goddess Eostre, who represented spring and new beginnings. Ostara symbolizes fertility, rebirth and renewal. Ostara is the festival of the spring equinox, a time to celebrate the moment between darkest winter and the height of summer.
