The Peyton Walker Foundation is hosting the inaugural The Beat Goes On Adventure Race on April 30 at Roundtop Mountain Resort to celebrate Walker's love of adventure. The 5K Adventure Race will see staggered start times between 11 a.m. and 2:45 p.m., while a 2K Fun Run is staggered from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Proceeds support the Peyton Walker Foundation with their mission to increase awareness and survival rates of sudden cardiac arrest.

 

The 5K features 12 obstacles, including cargo nets, slides, steep hills, tunnels, paintball and more. It is a course that will challenge every level of fitness. The Fun Run has five kid-friendly obstacles, including tires, slides, climbing and more that will be available for most skill levels and ages 8 and up.

 

Peyton Walker was a 19-year-old Mechanicsburg native pursuing a career as a physician's assistant who suffered a fatal sudden cardiac arrest. Her family's research found that kids are dying every day from undiagnosed heart issues, so they established The Peyton Walker Foundation in her memory.
