Natural Awakenings South Central Pennsylvania

Central PA Yoga Love Festival

The third annual Yoga Love Festival, held from 8 a.m. September 23 to 5 p.m., September 24, at the 144-acre nonprofit Amethyst Retreat Center, is rooted in unity, love and kindness. Chelsea Parcels, founder of Prema Vibrations and the Yoga Love Festival, CYT 200, says, “This year's theme is Shanti (peace). In this eco-friendly, drug and alcohol-free festival, we will shine the light right on our state's capital, Harrisburg, gathering together yoga studios, teachers, students, like-minded enthusiasts and businesses in a collaborative way that's never been done before in the region.”

There will be camping, yoga classes and workshops. A community potluck dinner, hiking, a walking prayer labyrinth, live music, dancing, drumming, local artists, bodywork, healing vendors and more.

The festival’s mission is to educate attendees so that their personal yoga journey is heightened, and raise public awareness about the numerous benefits of yoga and the connection of mind, body and spirit.

The event was founded in 2018 when Parcels created a way to connect the local yoga studios and businesses in a way like never done before in this region. She wanted the community to have an opportunity to experience different styles of yoga and meditation plus music, art, nature and dancing, hosted in a retreat-style setting.
