“Feel good, live simply, laugh more…”

The tagline of this magazine has been used to conclude this letter each month for 80 issues. It was dropped recently from our redesigned logo to create more room on our new, streamlined cover layout. Although you won’t see those words on the cover anymore, they will continue to live on at the close of my letter each month, as they so aptly serve as a succinct reminder to keep moving forward toward better health and wellness, naturally.

That meaning is also inherent throughout our pages every month. As we delve further into the South Central Pennsylvania community, we continue to meet practitioners, service providers, retailers, counselors, coaches and constituents that share their experience and expertise. In turn, our loyal and growing readership continues to gain the benefits of feeling good naturally and learning to live a simpler, more stress-free and hopefully, happier life.

I am humbled by the quality connections, editorial content, personal growth and well-being that comes about by our efforts. It’s all part of our collective mission to make a positive impact and difference in the world, starting right here in our local communities. I am grateful to all of our advertisers for making this magazine viable each month and for providing the goods and services that help us along our path to a healthier body, mind and spirit. Gratitude is also extended to our local editorial contributors; the newsmakers and local experts that share their knowledge and expertise with our readers.

A monthly publishing cycle can be a daunting task, especially if the gears aren’t oiled properly. I am blessed to work with and be part of the best editorial, production and sales teams within the Natural Awakenings family of publishers. For all of you, I am grateful.

I remember when I was 7 years old, I heard Santa’s sleigh bells ringing during the night from the top bunk bed on Christmas eve. I knew it was him and I knew the sound was real. I also know that I will do my best to keep that childlike wonder alive as I continue to search for new adventures, deeper meanings and for all possibilities to be made real.

As I seek what I know can be a better world in 2018 and beyond, I understand that the changes I desire in the world must start within me first; especially if they are feeling good, living simply and laughing more.
