Kudos - The Horn Farm Center

Alexis Campbell has been named executive director of The Horn Farm Center, a York-based nonprofit that works to educate the community about regenerative agriculture, primitive skills and more. Campbell, a native of Berks County, recently served as the associate director and head of communications for the Berks History Center, in Reading.

 

She is a permaculture practitioner and educator with a bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University, where she explored human systems, politics and ecology. She is also trained in commercial urban agriculture and holds certificates in permaculture design and teaching permaculture.

 

In 2010, Campbell co-founded Permacultivate and Reading Roots Urban Farm, providing fresh food and community education in the city of Reading, and recently led a countywide victory gardening campaign to promote food security in Berks county during the COVID-19 pandemic.
