Natural Awakenings South Central Pennsylvania

Love is in the Air

The second annual Central Pennsylvania Yoga Love Festival will take place from 8 a.m., June 25, through 5 p.m., June 26, at the Amethyst Retreat Center. The retreat style, eco-friendly overnight camping event features yoga, holistic health, healers, inspirational speakers, farmers, healthy foods, music , a live DJ, ecstatic dance, kirtan, local businesses and vendors, and much more. Blessings and a dharma talk by Bhante Soma accompany a potluck dinner on Saturday evening.

Founder Chelsea Parcels is the owner of Prema Vibrations, LLC. She loves connecting people and was inspired in 2019 to bring the local yoga community together with an event like no other. She says, "We made it through two years of the pandemic, and we can’t wait to finally have it happen. The Yoga Love Festival is rooted in unity, love and kindness. In this drug- and alcohol-free festival, we will shine the light right on our state's capital and gather together yoga studios, teachers, students, like-minded enthusiasts and businesses in a collaborative way that's never been done before in the region."

The festival's mission is to educate attendees so that their personal yoga journey is heightened and raise awareness of the public about the numerous benefits of yoga and the connection of mind, body and spirit. The festival brings understanding and growth in all the limbs of yoga and lets love connect us. Learning about yoga beyond the poses and making new connections in the community creates a space where attendees can try out lots of different styles and types of yoga in one place, and it a great opportunity to experience a variety of different local yoga studios and teachers.
