Refillism is a new refill and zero waste lifestyle store in York. Owner Elizabeth Bower says, "Want to be more eco-friendly? We're here to help. We have eco-conscious products with quality ingredients, thoughtfully sourced and carefully curated."

 

Customers can bring their own bottle or jar to refill. The store also has many new bottles and jars for those just starting a refilling journey. Everything in store is also available online as well as by local pick-up. Many products in the shop are all-natural, plant-based, with no harsh chemicals, vapors or residue, 100 percent biodegradable, nontoxic to people and pets, cruelty free and made in America.

 

Reduce, reuse and recycle are the three environmental R’s. It is best for the planet to reduce our demand for new products. After we have reduced demand, it’s important to reuse those products that we do need, and refilling helps with this. Then if we really can’t find another use for something, it is important to dispose of it responsibly via recycling.
