20th Anniversary for New Visions Holistic Expo

The 20th annual New Visions Holistic Expo (formerly Celebration of Life Holistic Expo & Conference) will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., August 13, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., August 14, in Memorial Hall East at the York Fairgrounds. Expo directors Matt Suter and Kara Lovehart, owner of Firefly Hollow Holistic Wellness Center, and New Visions Books & Gifts Store staff members are the current organizers of what is the largest and longest-running holistic expo in the area.

There will be more than 80 vendors and service providers, natural products, resources for mind/body/spirit, free lectures, door prizes, art, crystals, jewelry, bodywork, readings, health products, music, supplements, essential oils, art, crystals, spiritual herbal remedies, massage, reiki, intuitive readings, yoga, tea, reflexology, clothing, sound healing, nutrition, weight-loss, chiropractic, natural foods, incense, candles, books and more.

Lovehart says, "There are free lectures each day and door prizes every hour. Tickets are on sale online. Check out the full list of vendors on our website and follow us on social media. The most important purpose of the event is to connect people with holistic goods and services to improve their health and wellness in mind, body and spirit, and bring together community."

After 20 years of operation, the expo moved to Memorial Hall as it grew beyond the smaller venues. Many famous authors have spoken over the years, including Ted Andrews. "More and more people are looking for a holistic approach to their lifestyle or are curious about expanding their education and resources," says Lovehart. "The growth is due to   continued support from the event fans and attendees who return year after year from far and wide. Their word of mouth and excitement each year keeps the event exciting and even keeps the returning vendors excited to share their offerings."

In future expos, they plan to bring back the keynote speakers (which have been suspended since COVID) and continue to offer high-quality vendors, services and products for a spectacular event each year.
