Studio Solomon honors February Black History Month, a celebration of West African culture and tradition through music, with discounted drumming. All West African drumming classes will be $10 for the month (master classes and visiting teacher classes are not included). Beginner West African Drumming classes are held from 6 to 7 p.m. every Tuesday.

 

Studio owner/instructor Leigh Wisotzkey says, “This is a great way for me to give back to my community—whether new or existing students. I fell in love with African dance and drumming many years ago, and I’ve been blessed to have great teachers share their knowledge of West African culture, traditions and music with me over the years. It is my turn to share with others.”
