The inaugural Give Local York Party for the River will take place from 5 to 9 p.m., May 5, upstairs at John Wright Restaurant to support eight local organizations that protect and care for York’s streams and rivers, including the mighty Susquehanna. Attendees can learn about both the unique and collaborative efforts of these organizations to make our community a healthier, happier place to live, work, visit and play. There will be a cash bar with appetizers provided.

 

Participating Organizations include Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay, Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Farm & Natural Lands Trust of York County, Lancaster Conservancy, Lower Susquehanna Riverkeeper, Master Watershed Steward Program, Susquehanna National Heritage Area and Watershed Alliance of York.
