A new Penn State Extension Mental Health webinar series ongoing through December 4 explores mental health and offers strategies. From stress to grief to addiction, understanding mental health is crucial when faced with difficult times.

 

Emotional Overload, on November 6, will cover self-help strategies to reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression during stressful times.

 

Grief and Loss Every Day, on November 13, looks at grief as a response to life transitions.

 

Understanding Addiction, on November 20, explores the science and the human story behind addiction.

 

Fostering Mental Health in Youth, on November 27, focuses on techniques for helping young people navigate difficult times and develop positive coping skills.

 

Building Resilience, on December 4, teaches how resilience relates to healthy coping, new skills for building resilience and applying information to at least one life situation or challenge.

 

Admission is free with registration at Extension.psu.edu/mental-wellness-series, and participants receive access to webinar recordings.
