International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant Leslie Cree provides in-home and virtual consultations. Because no two experiences are alike, sorting through options and advice can be discouraging and frustrating. She listens and provides guidance to help parents make evidence-based decisions that will work best for them.

Lactation assessments include visual and physical assessment of mother, parent and infant(s), obtaining a complete health history and observing feedings and pumping sessions to customize solutions to attain desired results, as well as communicating with other healthcare providers for a team-based approach.

In the post-birth transition home, Cree implements strategies for relieving engorgement, helping babies to latch on and drink effectively, addressing nipple pain or injury, balancing sleep, feeding and mothers on self-care while learning to care for a newborn. Natal intensive care unit graduates or late preterm infants discharged home are in need of additional follow-up to ensure goals are met.
