Nonprofit Wild Ones South Central PA will hold a Native Plant Sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., May 10, in conjunction at the Diakon Wilderness Greenhouse. President Jane Allis shares “A large variety of native plants will be on sale. Your purchase will support local pollinators that depend on native plants, as well as birds and other wildlife that need a healthy ecosystem. This sale is an easy way to add some new native plants to your yard this Spring.” Wild Ones members will be on hand to help select the right native plants for individual spaces and conditions, whether a sunny front yard, shady spot under some trees or pots on the patio.

Wild Ones is a national organization dedicated to education about and promotion of native plants in the landscape, as well as protection of native plants in natural areas. The South Central Pennsylvania chapter encompasses 11 counties dedicated to the motto, “Connecting people and native plants for a healthy planet.”
