The Horn Farm Center for Agricultural Education will host its inaugural Summer Solstice Market from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., June 21, at the Horn Farm to mark the longest day of the year, hold gratitude for local abundance and promote growers and makers.

 

A curated farm market and social event, the Summer Solstice Market will highlight York County’s agricultural richness with a diverse array of offerings from local growers and artisans, including organically grown seasonal produce, fall garden seedlings, perennial plants and handcrafted goods.

 

There will be guided tours of the farm throughout the day for a look at the farm’s regenerative farming practices and ongoing projects. Guests are welcome to bring a picnic lunch to spend time exploring the property and connecting with the land. Born out of the successful effort to save the farm from industrial development in 2000 and established as a nonprofit corporation in 2004, the Horn Farm Center fosters ecological learning through land stewardship, community partnership and hands-on experiences.
