Salt Therapy is Just the Beginning at 1881
Cofounder and owner with her daughter Nikki, Robbi McClane says, “1881 is a sanctuary for mind, body and spirit. We offer massage therapy, dry salt therapy, holistic yoga classes and an herbal apothecary. Whether you’re seeking deep healing, inner calm or a supportive community, you’ll find it here. Come as you are and leave feeling renewed.” They offer private yoga sessions for up to six people and collaborate with other holistic practitioners to offer meditation and other therapies.
Steph Cucina, 200-ERYT, is certified in sound healing, and brings trauma-informed, prenatal, aerial and restorative yoga expertise, with extensive teaching and child-clearance credentials. She incorporates sound healing into all of her yoga classes.
“At 1881, the vibe is relaxed,” says Robbi. “When you come through our door at 1881 we always have at least one of our herbal teas ready for sampling. Yoga sessions are small—limited to six people—and are held in our community salt room, which is covered in salt on the walls, ceilings and the heated floor, which is covered in three inches of salt grains. During the session, our halogenerator pumps in lightly salted air which circulates through the room.” Breathing deeply in salted air supports respiratory health and deep relaxation, while small group sessions foster a sense of community and presence.
