The sixth annual SoulFit Festival will take place from 1 to 5 p.m., October 4, at the Marshall Math Science Academy to connect marginalized communities to resources and services. This family-fun, interactive festival is centered around natural ways of healing that come specifically through fitness, African arts culture, drumming and health healing properties to support families.

Nonprofit Dwennimmen is an educational and cultural organization with a mission to serve the broader community by preserving, sharing and celebrating African heritage, culture and history through African dance and drum classes, workshops, programs, spoken word and wellness events. Their vision is to create cultural arts education programs for the community to foster cultural pride, unity and vitality, as well as provide wellness workshops to highlight the health challenges that greatly impact the community.
