Aylesworth’s Dream Realized at Bodhi
Marnie Aylesworth, owner of Bodhi Yoga
Bodhi Yoga & Wellness has been open in the heart of Middletown for six months. The owner is Dr. Marnie Aylesworth, a yoga teacher, educator and mindfulness teacher with a doctorate in education. She says, “Bodhi Yoga & Wellness is more than yoga—it’s a sanctuary for community, creativity and healing. We offer a space where people of all backgrounds can reconnect with ease and presence.”
Class offerings include gentle flow, chair yoga, restorative yoga, vinyasa, yin yoga and power yoga, each taught with a focus on accessibility, safety and the deeper connection between mind and body. Bodhi also provides poetry workshops, sound meditation, private classes and events, breath workshops and community meditation (sangha). They also feature therapeutic massage at one of the lowest rates in the area.
Bodhi’s story began with a desire to create a safe and inclusive space for holistic wellness that is accessible to everyone. This was the inspiration for the “Pay what you can” class currently offered on Sundays. Aylesworth’s journey through yoga and mindfulness led her to build a studio that honors the body’s messages, encourages personal growth and supports people in living more fully and presently. She advises, “You don’t have to be perfect. Just show up. Your presence is the practice, and as long as you are breathing, you are on the right path.”
Location: 10 S. Union St., Middletown. For more information, call 717-807-720, email Aylesworth at Marnie@Bodhi-Yoga-Wellness.com or visit Bodhi-Yoga-Wellness.com.
