Bodhi Yoga &Wellness, in partnership with Penn State Health, is offering an eight-week Mindfulness-Based Stress-Reduction (MBSR) program designed to help participants reduce stress, improve emotional balance and focus, and cultivate greater presence. The virtual course begins with an online orientation on January 26, 2026, followed by weekly sessions via Zoom from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Mondays, February 2, 2026, through March 23, 2026, and concludes with an online retreat on March 14, 2026. The course is offered at a reduced rate through the partnership with Penn State Health.

The program is led by certified MBSR instructors Tim Riley and Dr. Marnie Aylesworth, owner of Bodhi Yoga & Wellness. “The program gently supports participants in reducing stress, improving emotional balance, enhancing focus and cultivating a deeper sense of ease in daily life,” says Aylesworth. “This heart-centered program invites participants to begin 2026 with greater well-being, presence and inner steadiness.” Aylesworth is an experienced educator and yoga teacher with a doctorate in curriculum and instruction, and has spent years researching mindfulness and its impact on well-being, education and leadership.

Developed in 1979 by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, MBSR is one of the most well-researched mindfulness programs in the world, shown to reduce stress, improve emotional balance and enhance overall well-being.
