Make Earth Month Count at Refillism’s Earth Day Birthday
April 22, 2026 marks both Earth Day and Refillism’s fourth birthday as a brick-and-mortar store, and the York-based business is turning the milestone into a full month of feel-good action, giveaways and community engagement.
During the month of April, customers can donate $1 to the Plastic Pollution Coalition and write their names on a leaf displayed in the store. Earth Week, April 19 through 25, 2026, customers will receive a free gift with a $25 purchase and can enter daily in-store giveaways. Refillism will also donate $1 to the Plastic Pollution Coalition for every in-store refill purchase.
The April 22, 2026, Earth Day celebration will include a large in-store giveaway, birthday treats and free gifts with purchase. Refillism will also host a coffee tab at Britton Coffee’s York location for anyone that brings a reusable mug, open until the tab runs out.
Refillism, York’s first refillery and eco-lifestyle shop, focuses on reducing single-use waste through refills and thoughtfully sourced products for home and body. As a member of the Plastic Pollution Coalition, the store aligns with a global network of organizations working to create a world free of plastic pollution.
“For the past four years, our brick-and-mortar store has been a place where community, conscious consumption and practical action come together,” says owner Elizabeth Bower. “This celebration reflects that mission and the impact small actions can have locally and globally.”
