Women’s Expos Feature Shopping, Demonstrations and Entertainment

A blend of information, entertainment, shopping, socializing, learning and fun, the seventh annual Lebanon County Women’s Expo will be held at the Lebanon Expo Center from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., October 5. Just a few weeks later, the eighth annual Cumberland County Women’s Expo will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., November 9, at the Carlisle Expo Center.

More than 80 exhibitors will be on hand at each event, covering the many facets of a woman’s life and interests, including health and wellness, home improvement, finances, beauty, fitness and more. There will be free health screenings, shopping, live demonstrations and presentations, giveaways and door prizes.

At the Lebanon County Women’s Expo, WellSpan Health will offer free health screenings and a range of seminars, including advanced breast surgery and new treatments for women’s incontinence.

On stage, a representative from Refreshing Mountain will familiarize visitors with reptiles and amphibians from around the world. Guests can also peruse the Artwalk, comprising pottery, paintings, illuminated mandalas and other media, all created by local artists.

The Puppy Hugging Area, staffed by canines and humans from the Lebanon Kennel Club, allows visitors to hug a dog by donation. Guests are also welcome to have their photos taken inside a life-size snow globe.

The Cumberland County Women’s Expo showcases a self-defense demonstration by TopFlight Combatives and Defense; the investigative work of psychic educator Jan Helen McGee; and the importance of hormonal equilibrium in a presentation by BeBalanced Hormone Weight Loss Centers. Stauffers of Kissel Hill will demonstrate the basics of container gardening, and students from SHEARS Cosmetology School will offer free mini manicures and mini pedicures.

Furry friends will also be available for hugging at this Women’s Expo, with puppies supplied by Harrisburg Kennel Club and donations benefiting the Purple Leash Project.
